With more than two decades of hands-on candle-making experience, Shan has formulated, tested, poured and sold thousands of candles while developing the highly scented fragrance experience Simply Scents is known for. She began making candles in her grandmother's kitchen with a $467 investment and spent her early years selling handmade candles out of the trunk of her car. Today, Simply Scents serves fragrance lovers locally and nationwide and is known for its signature Triple Scented Candles and distinctive 5-Wick Bundt Cake Candles. Before entrepreneurship, Shan proudly served eight years in the United States Air Force. After years of people asking her to teach them how to make candles, she created Simply Scents Candle Making 101 to share the techniques and fundamentals she has learned through more than two decades behind the craft.
